This sounds like a quotation you would find at the top of the page of your Franklin Planner opposite today’s date. These quotations are often taken from people who you had no idea ever existed, but must have been profound thinkers in the 19th century, because they hit on just the point Covey wanted to make. One area of work for Human Resources professions across the globe involves going out in the field to study jobs, which sometimes involves gauging how well people like their assignment. I am always surprised at the differences in job satisfaction reported from one incumbent to the next in jobs that have the very same duties and responsibilities.
