Top County Executive and Desert Resident to Retire

Riverside County’s sixteen year veteran Executive Officer, Larry Parish, announced his retirement this past week, with his last day to be July 30th. Mr. Parish is a resident of Rancho Mirage and has been quoted as saying, “I will certainly have no qualms about using what influence I have to make sure the needs of the Desert are met.”

If you think about it, Mr. Parish has had an ideal opportunity to become a regional and community leader in one of the most notable retirement locations in the nation, and then to retire here. From my view it doesn’t get any better.

Mr. Parish puts a face on what I have been saying all along, “Why wait to retire to the Desert when you can Live, Work, and Play here right now? By all accounts, not a bad example to follow.
