Why did I decided to introduce this modified form of a Q&A/suggestion box?  A few reasons, including …

To empower you, as a reader, to drive your own Desert Jobs Blog experience.  The people I have talked to recently have told me that they drop in and read Desert Jobs, as it turns out, for quite a variety of reasons, and since this blog is for you, I want you to have a loud voice in what I cover.

Besides, we have to temper my mind-numbing self -realizations with some content that is actually useful, even though it is less therapeutic for me.

To better address your questions.  As the Desert Jobs Blogger I have a fulltime job as a regional in-house recruiter/facilitator for Riverside County, and while I love blogging here, it’s something I do in addition to my regular job.

As the readership of Desert Jobs Blog has expanded, you’ve probably noticed that it hasn’t really generated any more posted comments.  I understand that most people who read blogs simply don’t talk back as the usual rule.

As a matter of fact, I haven’t replied to any of the blogs I've read (okay, well once in a weak moment of self-doubt, but it was to my own posting). To the contrary, when I engage people face to face on blog topics that have recently been posted, they always have opinions to express on the subjects.

Occasionally, they ask if I would like them to submit a comment on that posting.  My usual reply is neutral, just saying, “… if you would like to.”  The written comment never comes, and I really don’t mind.  I just figure that people tend to communicate more on a verbal level about the matters which appear in my blog.

Although, I can’t help but feel that there are questions which go unanswered, or topics of importance that I haven’t gotten around to exploring as yet.

To share information more broadly.  I suspect that a lot of you may be looking for the same information.  I hope this process will motive some of you to offer comments and to ask questions, because in doing so you will be speaking for the larger community of readers.  Remember blogging takes a village… in my case, at least one village idiot to write it… so help me out here!

Got a comment or question?  Don’t be shy.  Ask me in the blog reply form (below); these communications will not be posted.
