Temporary Assignment Program

Group of happy business peopleRiverside County's Temporary Assignment Program, the recipient of the California State Association of Counties Award (CSAC) in 1999, is committed to providing the highest level of customer service as we respond to the County of Riverside's temporary staffing needs.

Our in-house temporary employment program conducts business similar to a temporary staffing agency. Some of the services the Temporary Assignment Program offers include: recruitment, physical examination including drug/alcohol screening, skills testing, a background check, interviews and a customized orientation. Recruiting qualified applicants and meeting our client's staffing needs are our top priority. A wide variety of temporary assignments are available to qualified applicants who meet the County's requirements.Veterans will need to bring a copy of their DD-214 and letter of service-related disability (if applicable) at the time of the exam for consideration for

Please Note; Temporary Assignment Program employees are paid approximately 5.5% less than the comparable county classification and must meet all of the requirements for the position in which they are placed.

Medical Assignment Program

Smiling doctor in white coat and two smiling medical personnel in scrubsThe Medical Assignment Program offers a variety of staffing alternatives for the placement of qualified medical personnel at the Riverside County Regional Medical Center, Mental Health, and Public Health Departments.  Our in-house nurse registry and medical on-call pool allows employees to work in a variety of healthcare settings, with schedule flexibility for medical personnel.  

Descriptions of medical careers may be viewed using the navigation bar to the left.  Featured positions are highlighted each week. 

Active recruitments are generally posted on the Temporary and Medical Assignments page.

Please Note:  Except for Per Diem positions, MAP rates are generally 5.5% lower than Step 1 of the regular rate shown on the job description.  Per Diem positions offer greater flexibility than regular positions and pay slightly more in lieu of benefits.

Current active On-Call employees may print the latest On-Call calendar, available in PDF format to the right, and fax it to MAP @ 951-955-1525. Please submit at least 2 days in advance. Calendars received after 4:00pm on Friday will not be entered until the following Monday.
