Correctional Senior Food Service Worker
$12.74 to $16.60 hourly
$26,506.90 to $34,519.68 annually

POSITION INFORMATION:
Correctional Senior Food Service Workers perform the more difficult semi-skilled tasks related to the preparation and serving of food at a detention facility. Supervision of inmates and food service workers in the preparation of food, serving tasks, and routine cleanup of kitchen facilities and equipment is also required.
EXPERIENCE:
One year of experience in the preparation and serving of food that would have developed the knowledge and abilities listed below.
Knowledge of: The methods, practices, utensils, and equipment used in serving food and cleanup activities such as food and dish carts and dishwashers; the techniques and equipment used for measuring and preparing foodstuff; sanitation methods and practices associated with food handling and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen.
Ability to: Read, understand, and follow oral and written directions; write simple diet menu instructions; perform simple math calculations; instruct and train inmates and others in the methods and techniques used in serving food and cleanup activities; provide clear and concise oral instructions; prepare and keep simple records pertaining to food service quality control; supervise and inspect the work of Food Service Workers and inmates.
