Exclusive Care was created, in 1999, by the County of Riverside as a high value health plan option whose members pay substantially less than other health plans, in premium and co-payments.

Unlike other managed healthcare plans, Exclusive Care's providers are paid for each treatment no matter how frequently the patient is seen.

Like other offered managed care plans, Exclusive Care's benefits are comprehensive and our network includes many of the same providers. This Plan is available to County of Riverside employees and their eligible dependents as well as non-Medicare retirees living in the Exclusive Care service area.

Exclusive Care's Service Area is the geographic area that includes all of Riverside County as well as that area immediately adjacent to Riverside County whose zip codes are partially or wholly within thirty (30) miles of the Riverside County border line.

With Exclusive Care, you will choose a primary care physician (PCP), who is part of the Exclusive Care network. Your chosen PCP will coordinate your healthcare needs. This PCP will be a Family Practitioner, Internist, Pediatrician or General Practitioner.

If you need specialty care, your PCP will refer you to a network specialist or hospital. Through your PCP, you will have access to full service medical care within the network and in some circumstances outside of the network. Initial visits to OB/GYNs and Chiropractors can be made without a referral from your PCP.

You pay no annual deductible under this plan and will generally receive 100% coverage with a small co-payment of $5 for office visits.

Exclusive Care provides coverage for non-emergency care through contracted health care providers only. In a life-threatening emergency, you are covered wherever you seek services even if outside of the network. For additional information, visit the Exclusive Care website at www.exclusivecare.com.
